I have quite a major question for the wider community of Thurlows that are directly related to John and William Thurlow who lived in St Bathans. John Thurlow was my Great Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather r was Joe Thurlow.
What I would like to know, is why they both changed their names. I believe there could be a reason and think it is important for this family site to research and find out. Someone must know. I have asked my Aunty Greta Agnes Thurlow ( Mita) now in her mid seventies and has spent many years following the Thurlow family tree , but didn?t know of the Thurley issue in the family tree at all. With no disrespect to anyone ; as we know .in recent years with the advent of internet it has closed the gap and has fast tracked information being shared.
I would like to put this message out to all Thurlow and Thurley relatives; it would be great to find out why the name changed.

Hello Sally and welcome. I am not aware of Richard or the Rev Alfred. I wondered if you would mind telling me whereabouts in Cambridgeshire your line resided.
